THE KEY POINT
An item transfer can finish while its sale proceeds remain unavailable for cash withdrawal. Read the balance type and the associated protection timer first.
01
Identify which balance you are looking at
DMarket’s September 2026 P2P help says sale proceeds remain locked while Steam Trade Protection is active and become available after that period ends. Its seller instructions distinguish the item transfer from the later release of funds. A completed Steam exchange therefore does not by itself establish that a cash payment request can already be made.
The operator also documents a separate Tradable balance for certain CS2 sales or exchanges under protection. This label is not a synonym for money already paid to your bank. Keep the exact label in a support request instead of shortening every displayed amount to “my balance”.
02
What Tradable balance can and cannot do
The Tradable balance article says these funds can be used for CS2 Market purchases during protection. It excludes other games, Target purchases and cash withdrawal until the associated protection ends. Regular balance is used before Tradable balance in a purchase.
That is a description of permitted account use, not a suggestion to buy another item to resolve a withdrawal. If your aim is cash, record the protection state and wait for the applicable release rather than starting a new purchase you did not intend.
03
Follow one transaction through the stages
- Find the sale or exchange reference and check whether it was a P2P transaction.
- Record when the item transfer completed and the protection or balance timer displayed for that transaction.
- Use the bell-shaped history control to inspect trading and payment records. DMarket documents an Active tab for active P2P operations.
- After funds become available, check whether you have actually created a money-withdrawal request. Save that new reference separately.
This diagram separates stages without promising a release or payment time.
| Buyer found, transfer unfinished | The issue is still an item-transfer stage; inspect the active transaction and its available actions. |
|---|---|
| Transfer finished, funds locked | Check the associated protection state. This is not proof that a bank transfer failed. |
| Funds available, payment request processing | Use the cash-withdrawal method and its payment reference to track the next stage. |
04
If the state stops making sense
DMarket’s stuck-P2P help directs users to open the transaction details and use the actions available there, then contact official support if the page does not resolve the issue. Preserve the status and timer before making changes.
Our suggested report includes the sale reference, transfer completion time, balance label and the time you observed the unexpected state. If the displayed protection has expired but the balance is still locked, state both facts explicitly. Do not claim that a particular timer can be bypassed, and do not treat one game’s protection rules as a rule for all inventories.
BEFORE YOU CONTINUE
Quick checklist
- Record the exact balance label.
- Keep sale transfer and fund release as separate stages.
- Do not spend a balance merely to troubleshoot a cash withdrawal.
- Retain the active transaction details before contacting support.
