DMarket Targets: pause, edit or delete an order

Choose between deactivating, changing and permanently removing a DMarket Target; note its seven-day inactive deletion rule.

THE QUICK ANSWER

Set Inactive is a temporary state. DMarket says an inactive Target is deleted after seven days unless reactivated, and Update and activate makes an edited Target active.

01

Choose the state you actually want

Use the Target’s present state to decide the action. Pausing, changing the purchase conditions and removing an order are separate decisions. Start by saving its current item, price, parameters and status.

If you are merely deciding whether to keep an order, leave it inactive while reviewing it. The documented pause is not indefinite storage: keep the seven-day deletion rule in your notes.

Explanation: choose an order-management action

  1. Pause buying

Set Inactive and record the seven-day retention limit.

  2. Change the requirement

Manage, review, then Update and activate.

  3. Stop using this order

    Remove and confirm Delete.

02

Pause without assuming it stays forever

In Targets, select the active instruction and use Set Inactive. Confirm that its status changed. DMarket says an inactive Target is automatically deleted after seven days unless it is reactivated.

A personal reminder does not keep the instruction in the system. If you might want the same conditions later, record them independently rather than relying on the inactive entry as your only copy.

  1. Open Targets and identify the correct item.
  2. Save its conditions and current status.
  3. Use Set Inactive when you want a temporary pause.
  4. Check that the inactive state is displayed and note when you paused it.

03

Read the activation consequence of an edit

DMarket documents Targets → Manage → change parameters → Update and activate. The final control explicitly activates the edited order. Recheck the buying price and all item conditions before using it.

For example, reducing a ceiling from an invented 80 to 65 units is a new purchase instruction at that ceiling. Do not click through solely to preserve a draft if you intend to keep purchasing disabled.

STRIKEPOT / EXPLAINED

Explanation: an inactive Target has a deadline

  1. Pause recorded

    Target becomes inactive.

  2. Before deletion

Reactivation can make it active again.

  3. Seven days inactive

Documentation says it is automatically deleted unless reactivated.

04

Remove an order you no longer want

The removal article documents selecting the Target, choosing Remove and confirming Delete. Match the item and price again before confirming. If you manage several similar finishes, the thumbnail alone may not distinguish the intended instruction.

Removing a waiting instruction does not prove that an earlier matching purchase was reversed. Check completed purchase history separately if the order had been active while you were reviewing it.

05

Verify the result and prevent overlap

Return to Targets and check the resulting state or absence. Compare completed transactions as well as active instructions. Save one final copy of the change time, conditions and result.

If you recreate a removed order later, compare it with the original note before activating. This catches accidental quantity, variant or price changes without leaving a second overlapping instruction running.

BEFORE YOU CONTINUE

Quick checklist

  • Save the old conditions before changing them.
  • Remember inactive Targets are deleted after seven days.
  • Review Update and activate as a purchase-enabling action.
  • Check active instructions and completed purchases separately.
