Valve's October 16 Steam Client beta lists fixes for some incorrect Service Error dialogs and Vulkan games hanging after alt-tab. These are beta-channel changes, rather than a confirmed fix for every CS2 crash.

The same update includes startup improvements and retaining friends' voice-chat volume between sessions. For diagnosis, record the platform, client build and action that failed, then compare the same action after updating.
