THE QUICK ANSWER
An old Key-Drop skin may have become site balance under the 90-day policy. Check its acquisition date and sale record before reporting a missing Steam transfer.
01
The timer starts when the skin reaches My Account
Key-Drop’s Equipment policy gives a skin 90 days of storage from its arrival in My Account. If no applicable action is taken in that period, it is automatically sold.
The policy covers case drops, battle rewards, Contract and Upgrader results, and existing inventory items. It does not provide an exception for a rare or expensive skin.
From stored skin to automatic sale
Acquired
The skin appears in My Account; storage begins.
Before day 90
Review the item and any intended action.
No action in 90 days
The documented automatic sale applies.
After sale
Acquisition value becomes Key-Drop balance; the sale is irreversible.

Auto-sale turns the item into site balance
The operator says the credit uses the value displayed when the skin was obtained. The item is sold inside Key-Drop; that is a different event from receiving it in Steam.
Find the acquisition date and any corresponding sale or balance record available in your account. A current catalogue price can differ from the acquisition value, so keep those observations dated.
03
Check your options before the deadline
The policy lists Collect to Steam, sale, Skin Changer, giveaway creation, Contracts and Upgrader as actions on a stored item. These actions have different consequences. Review the one you actually intend to use; another game is not required to check the deadline.
If you intend to retain the skin itself, review Collect and its current eligibility. A record of simply viewing the item is not listed as an action that prevents automatic sale.

Auto-sale
Explains removal from stored inventory.
Balance credit
Should be reconciled with the sale.

A separate Collect request and trade record.

Do not rely on a reminder
The Equipment article says the system sends no advance notification and that an automatic sale cannot be reversed. Note the acquisition date while the item is still visible.
If you calculate a reminder for yourself, retain the original timestamp and time zone. Ask support about an unclear boundary rather than assuming that “90 days” ends at your own local midnight.
05
Report the item and the balance entry together
For a skin that disappeared, give support its name, acquisition date, original value and any dated sale entry. State whether you previously used Collect or another action and keep its reference if one exists.
A missing entry or an earlier-than-expected sale is a narrower issue than a general inventory-loading problem. Do not repeat a transaction merely to see whether the old item returns.

Quick checklist
- Find the skin’s acquisition date.
- Check for an automatic sale and its balance credit.
- Compare the original recorded value, not only today’s price.
- Review an intended action before the storage period expires.
