Read the index and the individual item separately
CS2Cap multiplies an indexed item price by effective supply across its tracked catalog. Its published method excludes entries with incomplete or unreliable pricing. That makes the total a scoped market estimate rather than an inventory of every skin that exists.
The period bars below compare the provider’s reported change over a day, a week and a month. In this snapshot, all three periods are negative. The seven-day decline is 4.62%, compared with an 11.59% decline over 30 days; the figures describe different time windows rather than consecutive trading sessions.
What the six price cards measure
Each card uses the lowest listed Steam ask for the named item at capture. The CS2 cards retain Field-Tested in the item name; the Rust cards retain the full cosmetic name. A buyer comparing these prices should keep the variant and marketplace the same.
Steam Wallet pricing and cash-market offers answer different questions. For a sale, start with a real quote, then account for fees and withdrawal deductions using the linked calculator. This first edition provides a baseline for future snapshots; changes between our own editions will use matching recorded items.
