Check the new names before replacing old calls
Valve added top-level Console and GameRules exports. Instance.Msg becomes Console.Log; command-related methods move to Console, while warmup, score and round methods move to GameRules.
The notes say moved and renamed methods remain available in their original locations but are deprecated. Use the complete official list for your script instead of treating the diagram above as a replacement table for every method.
Review loading and hostage events where your map uses them
Instance.Precache returns a CSPrecache object with loading checks and a release method. The update also adds CSHostage and callbacks for pickup, dropping, rescue and death. Warnings now include call stacks and details about bad arguments.
For a map that uses these systems, test the relevant sequence in your own development copy. Keep a working version, change one affected section at a time and retain the exact warning when reporting a problem. That is a verification approach, not a claim that a particular map has been tested here.
What ordinary players need to know
These notes chiefly concern creators and custom map code. They do not announce a new item reward or a bonus to claim. If your problem is viewing a match, use the separate demo-control guide; if the installed game fails to start, use the file-verification guide.
