SkinSwap Needs Approval: follow the manual-review case

Find the automatic case for a SkinSwap deposit or purchase under manual approval and keep it separate from a seller payout failure.

THE QUICK ANSWER

Needs Approval is a manual-review state for a deposit or purchase. SkinSwap says it creates a case automatically; use Messages to follow that case.

01

Confirm the transaction and exact status

SkinSwap’s help describes Needs Approval as manual administrative review for a deposit or purchase. Write down which action entered that state, its reference and its creation time. Do not label every review as a failed sale payment.

A payment provider debit, a pending purchase and the platform’s approval decision are different records. Keep the evidence for the original transaction so support can identify the one awaiting review.

02

Find the automatically created conversation

The current article says a support ticket is created automatically and instructs users to open Messages at the bottom and find the approval conversation. Check that case before creating duplicates or resubmitting the transaction.

Read any actual request in the verified conversation. The public article does not prescribe an identity-document checklist for every reviewed transaction, so do not send unrelated documents just because the word approval appears.

  1. Save the transaction reference and Needs Approval label.
  2. Open SkinSwap through its normal address.
  3. Use Messages and locate the approval conversation.
  4. Keep relevant updates in that case and match them to the original transaction.

03

Use the review state rather than a promised countdown

The help describes reviews as usually quick, while saying request volume and complexity can change the time. Its minutes wording is not a guaranteed deadline for your case. Record when the review began and any estimate support actually gives.

If you need an update, ask which step remains outstanding and whether your reply was received. Repeating the purchase or deposit does not establish that the original one has been cleared.

04

Separate approval, payment failure and delivery

Needs Approval concerns a deposit or purchase review. Payment Failed in the existing SkinSwap guide concerns a different payment state. An approved purchase can still have a subsequent delivery record to follow.

As an editorial checklist, classify the problem by the last completed event: funding accepted, purchase approved, seller delivery or external payment. Use the case’s exact wording instead of switching status names.

05

Keep one concise timeline

Use Transactions to retain the original amount, currency, action and state, then add the case reference and last update. Hide unrelated account and payment details in any screenshot.

If the state changes, save that result and follow the next actual record. A support reply alone should not be treated as proof of delivery or external payment unless the relevant transaction shows it.

BEFORE YOU CONTINUE

Quick checklist

  • Identify whether a deposit or purchase is reviewed.
  • Find the existing Messages case.
  • Keep timing estimates separate from guarantees.
  • Follow the next transaction state after approval.
