DMarket listing prices: recommended, lowest and recent average

Choose a DMarket listing reference deliberately and distinguish Steam-based discounts, recent averages and the net You’ll get field.

THE QUICK ANSWER

A preset describes a reference calculation. It does not promise a sale at that price, and different selected items can use different presets.

01

Read which reference the preset uses

DMarket’s August 2026 listing help identifies several price bases: an algorithmic recommendation, the lowest current DMarket-bot offer, a recent average, and a percentage below a Steam average. They answer different questions.

The help’s promotional claim about selling quickly is not a guarantee. Before selecting any preset, decide whether you want a historical reference, a current competing offer or your own custom amount.

Explanation: four different pricing references

  1. Recommended

    Algorithmic suggestion.

  2. Lowest

    Current competing bot-offer reference.

  3. Recent average

A stated seven- or fourteen-day window.

  4. Below Steam average

    A discount from a seven-day Wallet-market reference.

02

Keep the averaging window with the number

The documented recent average uses seven- or fourteen-day statistics; the Steam-discount options use a seven-day Steam average. A number with no window is an incomplete comparison.

For an invented example, a seven-day average of 80 and a current lowest offer of 72 can both be accurate descriptions of different inputs. Neither establishes the exact price a new buyer will accept.

03

Separate the selling amount from You’ll get

DMarket permits editing Selling price or You’ll get, and describes the latter as the credited amount after the sale fee. Save both figures and the currency after changing a preset.

If an invented quote lists 100 and shows 95 in You’ll get, the latter already describes that quote after its sale fee. Do not subtract the same fee a second time. It is still a balance quote rather than proof a buyer paid or a cash payout was sent.

STRIKEPOT / EXPLAINED

Explanation: keep the complete listing quote

  1. Select the basis

Choose the preset or custom amount.

  2. Read both amounts

Selling price and net You’ll get.

  3. Verify the offer

Check the resulting On sale record.

04

Review every row in a multiple-item selection

The help allows pricing each selected item separately. A batch selection does not mean every row has the same intended pricing basis. Check each row’s item identity, chosen reference and resulting net amount.

For example, using a recent average on one common item and a custom amount on an unusual pattern can be deliberate. Applying a single blanket percentage to every row can discard that distinction; review before publishing.

05

Save the reference and final offer together

Keep the item, chosen preset, window, amount, net and creation time. If you later change price, preserve a new record rather than overwriting the explanation of the original listing.

Check the On sale result after submission. A proposed price in a form is not evidence that the offer is active or that the item sold.

BEFORE YOU CONTINUE

Quick checklist

  • Name the reference and its time window.
  • Treat recommendations as suggestions.
  • Save Selling price and You’ll get.
  • Check each item row before publishing.
