THE QUICK ANSWER
Before comparing a price, identify who holds the skin while it is offered and who must send the next Steam trade. A listing is not an accepted cashout offer.
01
Name the transaction you are comparing
Three pages can all say sell skins while asking you to do different things. SkinSwap describes a SELL offer for selected skins without waiting for a buyer. Skinport describes sellers depositing listed items into its bots. CSFloat describes the seller sending a purchased item directly to the buyer on Steam.
Those differences affect what you need to check before choosing a route: whether the skin leaves your inventory now, whether another buyer still has to appear, and whether you must return to deliver an accepted sale. They do not establish that one route will pay more or finish sooner for your item.
Compare the operation rather than assigning one model to a whole brand. SkinSwap's separate Trade help also describes Instant and P2P Market receiving items. Its SELL explanation does not make every SkinSwap replacement purchase instant.

Compare custody and the event that moves the sale forward
| SkinSwap SELL offer | Review the service's offer for the selected items. The documented selling model does not require finding a separate buyer. |
|---|---|
| Skinport bot-held listing | The item is deposited to a Skinport bot for listing; a marketplace buyer still has to purchase it. |
| CSFloat P2P listing | The skin can remain in the seller's Steam inventory while listed; after purchase, the seller must deliver to the buyer. |
| Price comparison | Use the same exact item and record whether the figure is a quote you can accept or an asking price awaiting a sale. |
| Time comparison | Separate buyer discovery, Steam transfer, sale-funds release and the later payout. Record the live notice for each stage. |
03
Use a decision that matches your situation
If keeping the skin available in your own inventory matters, check the custody model first. If you cannot return to send a trade, a P2P seller's delivery obligation is a material condition to resolve before listing. If you are evaluating an instant offer, save that exact offer rather than using a public listing from another site as money already available.
For an unusual float, pattern or sticker craft, make sure every quote refers to that individual item. A shared market name does not prove that the services assessed its extra details the same way. Ask for a clarification where an offer does not identify what was valued.
- Who has the item before a buyer pays?
- Who chooses the asking price or generates the offer?
- Who sends the delivery trade, and what live deadline applies?
- What event releases sale proceeds, and what remains before money reaches the recipient?

Create one record for each route
Write down the item identifier, quoted or listed amount, custody state, outstanding action and payout destination. Only then compare complete proceeds with the skin-sale planner. The planner uses the numbers you enter; it cannot turn an unsold listing into a sale.
If a service's current screen conflicts with a published explanation, retain the screen and date and ask its official support about that transaction type. Do not transfer the item merely to discover whether a sale model fits your needs.

Quick checklist
- Label every amount as an offer or asking price.
- Record custody and the required delivery participant.
- Read current sale-release and payout conditions separately.
- Compare the same item and a complete quote.
