THE QUICK ANSWER
Rainbet looks backward over the selected period. A new limit can pause wagering immediately if recent net losses already reach it.
01
The limit counts recent losses, including earlier play
Rainbet’s Direct Loss Limits article describes a rolling, retroactive net-loss calculation with daily, weekly or monthly periods. It does not start a fresh loss counter simply because you set the limit now.
Open Responsible Gambling → Loss Limit and read the period alongside the amount. Keep the confirmation and time. A pause immediately after saving can be the intended result of counting earlier losses, rather than a broken game.

Read the window as a moving interval
Suppose a hypothetical seven-day net-loss limit is 100 units and the previous seven days already total 110. Rainbet’s published example says wagering is paused when the recent total reaches or exceeds the limit.
The window keeps moving. The help says access resumes once losses in that lookback period fall below the threshold. That is different from assuming every weekly cap resets on Monday or at midnight.

Check the saved control
- Open the official Loss Limit page from Responsible Gambling.
- Read the amount, selected period and any effective-time message before saving.
- After saving, verify the displayed limit and any pause notice. Keep the screen if the saved value differs from your choice.
What happens when the cap is saved?
Below the cap
The limit remains in place
At or above the cap
Wagering pauses under the published rule
Count is unclear
Ask support which period and entries were counted

If the calculation is unclear, ask about the counted period
Give support the limit amount, period, save time and exact restriction message. Ask which dates and transactions are included in the net-loss total, and whether the control is already active.
The reviewed article does not define a universal increase/removal delay or every adjustment included in net loss. Do not infer those rules from another casino. If you want a full stop, use Rainbet’s exclusion process and ask support to confirm the restriction.
BEFORE YOU CONTINUE
Quick checklist
- Read the amount and lookback period together.
- Expect earlier losses to count.
- Save the active limit and pause notice.
- Ask for the calculation when the amount is unclear.
