THE QUICK ANSWER
The current Viewer Pass FAQ routes souvenir redemption through the Event Coin and completed matches. The Major’s own published deadline controls how long redemption remains available.
01
Separate the pass from a package
Valve’s FAQ requires redeeming a Viewer Pass on the account for its souvenir-redemption programme. It says packages are no longer randomly dropped merely for watching the Major. An unactivated pass and an already redeemed package are different inventory states.
Record the tournament name and the pass state first. Do not assume a pass for one event gives access to another event’s challenges or match list.

Open the Event Coin’s redemption route
Valve documents selecting the Event Coin, opening View Coin Challenges and then REDEEM SOUVENIRS to see eligible matches. The FAQ limits package redemption to completed matches.
Choose the intended match in the actual event interface and check the package before confirming. A package name encodes more context than a generic “Souvenir” description.
- Find the correct Major Event Coin in CS2.
- Open View Coin Challenges.
- Use REDEEM SOUVENIRS and inspect the completed-match choices.
- Read the selected package and remaining redemptions before confirming.
03
Read the Major’s own end date
The FAQ says redemption end dates are set when the Major begins. Follow that event’s announcement; there is no single evergreen redemption deadline for all Majors.
Keep an earned redemption, a purchased redemption and the delivered package as separate records. If an option is missing, note which one is absent and whether the deadline has passed.

Team stickers and picks have different roles
Valve says Viewer Pass holders can save Pick’Em choices without buying team stickers. A sticker purchase is not a remedy for missing picks or souvenir entitlement.
For an unresolved issue, save the event, coin challenge page, affected match and exact message. This is enough to describe the failed stage without opening a package or buying more redemptions.

Current indexed Valve FAQ text supplied the pass, watch-drop, coin menu, completed-match, event deadline and no-sticker-for-picks rules. Direct FAQ extraction returned only an image. No active Major, deadline, purchase, picks, pass activation or package redemption was tested; no current event is implied.
