THE QUICK ANSWER
Re-read the contents, odds and opening price after enabling Joker. Turning a Royal animation on or off is a different setting.

01
Joker changes the case you are assessing
CaseHug says enabling Joker Mode changes the case contents so that each listed skin has the same probability. The opening price rises to reflect the changed contents.
Record the selected mode before comparing a case with an older screenshot. The same case name is not sufficient if one view used ordinary mode and another used Joker.
Joker and Royal affect different things
Joker Mode
Changed contents, equal skin odds and a changed opening price.
Royal Mode
A visual reveal effect that can be disabled.
Result record
Use the recorded outcome for an opening that already occurred.

Compare the final contents and price together
The official instructions put the Joker control on each case page. After a change, read the full item list and probability display alongside the price before choosing whether to open anything.
Equal probabilities for listed skins do not mean equal item values or a guaranteed profitable result. The price changed as well, so an ordinary-mode price cannot be used to assess the Joker distribution.
| Mode | Ordinary or Joker. |
|---|---|
| Contents | The skins listed after that mode is selected. |
| Odds | The probabilities shown for those contents. |
| Price | The opening cost for that same mode. |
03
Royal Mode changes the animation, not the odds
CaseHug describes Royal Spin as a visual effect for a crown-marked result. Its help says the animation can be disabled with Royal Mode in account settings and that doing so does not alter probabilities or the received skin’s value.
A paused animation with a crown is therefore a different subject from the Joker case setting. If reporting a display issue, name Royal; if asking about a changed item pool and cost, name Joker.
Keep a case comparison internally consistent
Ordinary view
Ordinary contents + ordinary odds + ordinary price.
Joker view
Joker contents + equalized odds + Joker price.
Invalid comparison
An old price paired with the other mode’s contents.
Evidence
Mode, case URL and timestamp identify the observation.

Retain both views when a mode seems wrong
For a price or contents question, save the case URL, mode, time and complete display before and after the change. For an already recorded opening, retain its own result reference rather than relying on the animation alone.
The reviewed articles do not publish one universal Joker price or a fixed list of skins for every case. Ask about the selected case and the mode recorded for that event.
BEFORE YOU CONTINUE
Quick checklist
- Record whether Joker is enabled.
- Read contents, odds and price from the same mode.
- Keep Royal animation settings separate from probability settings.
- Use the original case and result references for a mismatch.
