THE QUICK ANSWER
Mark the deposit's position in your account history. First, next and every describe different eligibility scopes; none of them establishes that all other restrictions disappear.
01
Read the word attached to the percentage
Two deposit benefits can show the same percentage but cover different payments. CaseHug documents a first-top-up benefit and a different benefit on later top-ups with an active code. Clash.gg's public wording refers to the next deposit. G4Skins describes a permanent referral-code percentage on every deposit.
Check whether you are evaluating a new account's initial payment, a payment following activation, or a later repeat payment. Do not create a second account or assume an old attribution can be changed to reproduce a first-use condition.
Put the percentage on the right payment
First top-up
Check whether the account has already completed its first qualifying payment.
Next after activation
Identify which later payment the one-off wording covers.
Subsequent top-ups
Use the separate repeat-payment terms, where documented.

Compare the documented payment scope
| CaseHug first top-up | Its promo-code help lists 20% on the new user's first top-up, alongside a separate $1 platform credit. |
|---|---|
| CaseHug later top-ups | The same help lists 10% on subsequent top-ups using an active code; the initial rate is not repeated. |
| Clash.gg next deposit | Its current Rewards wording says +5% on the next deposit after redeeming an affiliate code. It does not establish a permanent benefit. |
| G4Skins ongoing referral benefit | Its FAQ describes a permanent 5% bonus on every deposit, plus a separate one-time Mil-Spec opening. |
| Current account eligibility | Check the active code, payment history, applicable method, caps and any expiry before relying on the described scope. |
03
Keep one-time gifts separate from repeat percentages
A case opening or platform credit bundled with a first-use offer is a separate benefit from its deposit percentage. Do not carry the one-time gift into a later-deposit comparison simply because the code remains visible.
Likewise, ongoing describes a published benefit's scope; it does not freeze a policy forever or prove that every payment method qualifies. Use the current offer as the account-specific record and retain the source date when comparing an older description.
Split the offer into two records
One-time gift
A case or platform credit can have first-use conditions.
Deposit percentage
Record the eligible payment scope and active rate separately.
Current quote
Confirm both records against the offer displayed for your account.
Bundled benefits do not automatically share the same repeatability.

Use your payment history to test the claim
Create a short account timeline with registration, code activation and each completed payment. Put the promotion's scope beside the payment you are evaluating. If you cannot tell whether a payment consumed a next-deposit offer, ask support about that reference before trying another payment.
A rejected code and an accepted code with an ineligible payment are different observations. Record the exact message and the active offer rather than calling both states code not working. No additional deposit is needed to make that support question precise.
- Registration and first completed top-up
- Code activation or attribution state
- The payment the offer is supposed to cover
- One-time gift versus repeat credit
- Current method, cap and expiry notices
05
Compare the payment you actually intend to make
- Label it first, next after activation or later repeat.
- Match that payment to the official offer's scope.
- Separate bundled one-time gifts from percentage credit.
- Read the final active quote; leave an unclear payment unsubmitted.
BEFORE YOU CONTINUE
Quick checklist
- Identify the payment's position in account history.
- Read first, next and every literally.
- Keep one-time gifts separate from ongoing percentages.
- Confirm the active offer for the current payment.
